Surulere is a residential and commercial Local Government Area located on the mainland of Lagos in Lagos State, Nigeria. Surulere has so many special and honorable locations in Lagos, such as the Former National Stadium and the Famous Teslim Balogun Stadium. It is also home to the Nigeria Supporters Club. Surulere also have leisure centers like the Leisure Mall Surulere, Filmhouse Cinema, and the Shoprite Complex at Adeniran Ogunsanya. At the last census in the year 2006, there were 503,975 inhabitants, with a population density of 21,864 inhabitants per square kilometer. The local government area is bordered by Yaba, Mushin, and Ebute-Metta. Surulere is majorly believed to be the center of Lagos State and an area for the Middle-class Lagosians.
